The Last OJ Post We'll Do Until He Confesses Again
As we wrap up Day 2 of the OJ Isn't Going To Tell Us How He Killed Those People era — by the way, is it just us, or was Mike Lupica unusually fired up about this? — we must, rather than be forced to watch Fox, go back to the parlor game of ... well, whatever we were doing with O.J. before. The blog Just Call Me Juice has been tempting us with a potential Meeting OJ story in Spring 2004 for a few weeks now, and today they finally came out with it.
So now instead of leaving the bar, we keep drinking and talking to the Juice. My dad, OJ, his girlfriend and myself and the only people at the bar and things are starting to get interesting. Martha's just been convicted and OJ is telling us about his time in jail. "It was like the boy scouts in jail, it's not hard at all. She'll get it easy cause she's a woman. My 17 months were easy," said OJ. He constantly referred to his time in jail as his "17 months". I should also mention that for the whole 2-3 hours that we talked to OJ, his "girlfriend"or whatever she was never said a word. Not one. She just sat in complete silence. OJ never even acknowledged her once. I'm guessing OJ already gave her "the talk".
Best part of the story? Simpson says he has to leave because he's "going to meet Clinton Portis." Now THAT'S a conversation we'd like to be a fly on the wall for.
