The playoffs were still a very real possibility, but even if the postseason wasn't going to happen, a winning season likely would. Cue the fart noise. Today's loss to the Reds was No. 82, which means the longest streak of consecutive losing seasons in the history of North American professional sports has been extended to an even 20. Guess that makes it a milestone. I'd drink a toast, but I'd probably cut my lip. Hooray.
