The Minooka School System Throws Down The Beat
Note to grade school physical education teachers: If you're putting together a mix CD of upbeat songs for your annual fifth grade jump rope fundraiser, make sure that "I'm in Love With a Stripper," by Gangsta Grillz isn't one of them.
"That's not the type of music I listen to," said Hasler, a 17-year veteran with Minooka schools, of the song by t-Pain on the Gangsta Grillz collection. "It was just a mistake. I was trying not to put on Lawrence Welk or Barney music. I try to do things so the kids can have fun. I regret that it was played in class and obviously it will not happen again."
Maybe so, but you should have heard the stuff Hasler had on there that he cut at the last minute, including fifth-grade jump rope favorites Nutt Check by The New Boyz N The Hood; Buy You A Drank by t-Pain, featuring Yung Joc; and of course Moneymaker by Ludacris. And obviously Hasler hasn't heard the latest Barney collection: Prehistoric Smack, featuring his cover of My Humps.
