The Sound Of MLB Blogs Silence
This image was lost some time after publication. If you're looking for insight from Orioles fans on the Rafael Palmeiro steroid situation, what better place than MLB Blogs? Um, yeah. Hello? Anyone? (Sound of crickets). Either there are no O's fans at MLB Blogs — a distinct possibility — or they're laying low, waiting for this to blow over. The only blog taking on the subject is Dave's Baseball In Spanish, which, predictably, thinks the whole thing is a conspiracy against Latinos. Either that, or it's a review of the movie "Wedding Crashers." (Our spanish isn't so good). The one guy who should chime in and earn his MLB.com stipend is former Orioles great Brooks Robinson. But all we have on his blog is an old post from July 19, when Palmeiro passed 3,000 hits. Brooks writes of that achievement:
"To accomplish this, you need to have consistency, hard work, determination and good health."
Also, it appears, a good Bulgarian drug connection doesn't hurt.
Congrats, Raffy! [Brooks Robinson Blog]
