This Is What Larry Merchant Looked Like Before Telling Floyd Mayweather He'd Kick His Ass In 1961
Victor Ortiz headbutted Floyd Mayweather as the fourth round was coming to an end. Then, Mayweather knocked him out with two shots that most consider the cheapest of shots he's thrown in his career.
During the post-fight interview, Mayweather took exception to what he perceived as Larry Merchant's bias against him and demanded a new interviewer. Mayweather then asserted that "you don't know shit."
Retorted Merchant, "What are you talking about? I wish I was 50 years younger and I'd kick your ass."
He later admitted that he doesn't know whether he could, in fact, have kicked Mayweather's ass. That he got caught up in the moment and all.
Much more will be said about this fight. Both fights, actually.
