Mandatory Credit: Sam Navarro-Imagn Images The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without the services of forward Jalen Williams for the next couple of weeks, the team said Monday.
Williams, who has been battling a right hamstring strain, missed the game Monday, as the Thunder blasted the Cleveland Cavaliers 136-104. He sustained the injury Saturday against the Miami Heat, a 122-120 loss.
Now, he'll rest to see how the injury progresses.
The 24-year-old Williams is in his fourth NBA season with the Thunder. A career 18 points-per-game scorer, he is averaging 16.8 this season and also averages 5.6 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals over 24 games. He missed the team's first 19 games earlier this season with an injured wrist, which required two surgeries.
The Thunders have the league's best record 36-8.
