Today In MLB Blogs
This image was lost some time after publication. If weblogs are the new journalism, then what the hell went awry over at MLB Blogs? You'd think that people paying $4.95 a month for a weblog would be more into it, but alas, there's not much action here. Let's go to the statistics. For the month of June, the first 10 featured sites on MLB Blogs' lineup have posted a total of 43 entries. That's an average of 0.153 posts per site per day — the kind of numbers that will get you sent to the Northern Independent League in a hurry. Brooks Robinson's Hot Corner isn't that hot, as it turns out — there's only one post. Another site, Whosinfirst, consists of two posts totaling 21 words, none of which make sense when strung together. Inside the White Sox has 22 posts, but also includes photos of Minnie Minoso, Paul Reiser and the flag of New Zealand. Come on, MLB Blogs.com, admit it. You're not even trying.
