Todd Gurley's Tumultuous Season Is Over After Tearing His ACL
Georgia running back and former Heisman favorite Todd Gurley tore his ACL last night on a six-yard run. When he was injured, the Bulldogs were up 27-7 on Auburn with about five minutes left to play. It was his first game back from a four-game suspension for signing memorabilia in exchange for around $3,000.
This is a goddamn shame, because Todd Gurley is a beast, and was off to a great season before a spiteful memorabilia dealer snitched on him, drawing the ire of the NCAA. He went from a Heisman frontrunner to suspended, and after running all over Auburn for 138 yards last night, he's now out for the season. There's no word yet on whether Gurley will declare for the 2015 draft or return for his senior year.
