Top finishers set in group stage at The International

Xtreme Gaming, Cloud 9, Team Falcons and Team Spirit won their divisions Thursday on day two of the group stage of The International 2024, a $2.4 million Dota 2 tournament in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In Group D, Spirit sailed through the first two days, finishing 3-0. On Thursday, they defeated Team Liquid 2-0 in 53 on red and 42 minutes on green to advance to the top line of the seeding decider round.
The top finisher in each group will be matched against either the third or fourth seed in another group for seeding matches for the main event playoffs. Each of those competitions will be best-of-three. The seeding deciders begin Friday, and playoffs start Sunday, with the best-of-five grand final taking place Sept. 15.
Xtreme Gaming, with a 2-1 mark, were the top finisher in Group A after a 1-1 split against 1W Team on Thursday. Xtreme won in 30 minutes on red with their opponent triumphant in 32 minutes, also on red.
In Group B, Cloud9 (2-1) emerged to the top spot after splitting with Tundra and sweeping Talon with 25- and 48-minute victories on green.
And in Group C, Falcons swept Bet Boom Team in 42 minutes on green and 45 minutes on red to earn a place in a tiebreaker with Team Zero. The Falcons won a pair of 30-minute matches, one on red and one on green.
