Top Northwestern RB Cam Porter (leg) done for season

Mandatory Credit: Stephen Lew-Imagn Images Northwestern running back Cam Porter will miss the rest of the season with a right leg injury, head coach David Braun told reporters on Monday.
Porter, the Wildcats' leading rusher through two games this season with 137 yards and a touchdown, sustained the injury in Saturday's 42-7 win over Western Illinois.
A sixth-year senior out of Cincinnati, Porter has rushed for 1,908 yards and 18 TDs over 45 games across the last five seasons. He led the Wildcats in rushing yards each of the last two seasons, finishing with 651 yards in 2023 and 501 yards last season.
Caleb Komolafe and Joseph Himon II are likely to be the next players up in the Northwestern backfield. They've rushed for 175 combined yards through two games this season.
Northwestern (1-1) opens Big Ten play against No. 4 Oregon (2-0) on Saturday in Evanston, Ill.
