Turkey Day always feels better with tasty NFL matchups and that stands even if the Cincinnati Bengals are one of the teams playing.

I mean, just think of all the bad Detroit Lions teams we’ve tolerated on Thanksgiving Day.

The Lions are an excellent team now and Jahmyr Gibbs will look to feast during an NFC North showdown with the Green Bay Packers. The Dallas Cowboys are another Thanksgiving staple and they will face Patrick Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs notched their first one-score win of the season on Sunday.

As for the Bengals, Joe Burrow returns from his Week 2 toe injury and the television executives feel great about that. The whole meaning of Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens in prime time was for a Burrow high-scoring showdown against Lamar Jackson of the Ravens.

JAHMYR GIBBS SEEKING THE BIG TURKEY LEG

The Lions’ gamebreaking running back – still hard to use that phrase without visions of Barry Sanders – has produced big efforts in three of Detroit’s last five games. Last week, Gibbs had a career-high 219 yards on 15 carries and finished with 264 scrimmage yards and three total touchdowns in a 34-27 overtime victory over the New York Giants.

Gibbs figures to have redemption on his mind as the Packers limited him to a season-low 19 yards in Week 1 when Green Bay scored a 27-13 home victory. The Packers rank sixth in run defense at 96.5 yards per game.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love looks like a person to shy away from with three straight games of 176 passing yards or fewer and a failure to throw a touchdown pass in three of the past four games. He’s +141 to throw for 250 or more yards.

Jahmyr Gibbs 130-plus yards from scrimmage, +169 (DraftKings)

PATRICK MAHOMES TRYING TO ELIMINATE STUFFING FROM CHIEFS’ PLATE

Kansas City hasn’t been as fearsome this season and the margin for error is thin with the club on the outside of the playoff mix. Now is that time for the MVP version of Mahomes to deliver some big performances.

He passed for a season-best 352 yards in last week’s 23-20 overtime victory over the Indianapolis Colts for just his second 300-yard outing of the season. But he has just one passing TD over the past three games after tossing 14 in a five-game span.

Mahomes and the Cowboys’ Dak Prescott (Over 1.5 passing touchdowns, -148) could end up in a shootout. Mahomes should thrive in that setting against a Dallas team ranked 31st in scoring defense at 28.5 points per game.

Patrick Mahomes over 2.5 touchdown passes, +148 (DraftKings)

SPITTING IMAGE JA’MARR CHASE READY TO TORMENT RAVENS AGAIN

The Bengals star receiver is back from a one-game suspension for spitting on Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey. Chase apologized for his conduct but it was a reminder that spectacular receivers aren’t always All-Pro people.

Chase is deservedly near the top of list when the NFL’s best receivers are the topic. And those two games against Baltimore last season were highly impressive. Chase caught 21 passes for 457 yards and five touchdowns. He had 264 yards in one of the games, two shy of his career high.

Hard seeing the Ravens being able to corral Chase this time around, especially with star quarterback Joe Burrow (toe) returning to play for the first time since Week 2. Predicting a 100-yard outing (+108) or anytime touchdown scorer (-120) seems too easy, so look for Chase to rack up the receptions.

Ja’Marr Chase nine-plus receptions, +116 (DraftKings)
