Tramon Mark scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures for Texas, which bounced back from an opening-round loss at the Maui Invitational to beat Chaminade 119-78 in a consolation game on Tuesday evening in Lahaina, Hawaii.

Dailyn Swain finished with 18 points and nine rebounds while Matas Vokietaitis had 16 points and nine rebounds for Texas (5-2), which shot 65.8% from the floor and owned a 59-20 rebounding advantage.

Jordan Pope added 15 points and eight assists, Simeon Wilcher scored 12 off the bench and Lassina Traore contributed nine points and 14 rebounds in a reserve role for the Longhorns, who lost 87-86 to Arizona State in the first round on Monday.

Nathan Medina scored 30 points and shot 8-for-13 from 3-point distance for Chaminade (2-3). The Silverswords led by 20 points in the first half of their first-round game against Washington State on Monday before losing 90-85.

Chaminade stayed close for the first 10 minutes on Tuesday.

Roland Banks II had three steals in the opening four minutes for the Silverswords, with the third leading to a dunk by Nate Sasser III and a 9-8 lead.

Sasser had another steal and a dunk to make it 11-8 with 14:39 left in the half, but that was as large of a lead as Chaminade would get.

The Longhorns moved ahead for good at 14-13 on an inside basket by Traore with 13:06 left, and Swain scored in the paint to give Texas its first double-digit advantage at 28-18 with 7:44 left in the opening half.

Chaminade managed to stay within 11 points until a 3 1/2-minute scoring drought allowed the Longhorns to extend the cushion to 45-26.

Medina sank a shot from beyond halfcourt to end the first half and cut Chaminade's deficit to 52-36.

Texas scored 38 points in the paint in the first half and shot 61.8% from the floor. However, the Longhorns committed 12 turnovers before the break, leading to 15 points by Chaminade.

The Silverswords trimmed the deficit to 13 early in the second half, but Pope sank a 3-pointer to spark an 11-0 run as the lead ballooned to 67-43.

Texas will meet No. 23 North Carolina State in a consolation game on Wednesday, while Chaminade will play Boise State.
