The Minnesota Twins placed shortstop Carlos Correa on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain on Saturday.

Correa, 29, sustained the injury during the Twins' 8-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Friday.

A two-time All-Star, Correa is hitting .306 with one homer, four RBIs and a .432 on-base percentage in 11 games this season.

Also on Saturday, Minnesota recalled catcher Jair Camargo from Triple-A St. Paul and selected the contract of right-hander Matt Bowman from the Saints. Additionally, the Twins designated right-hander Michael Tonkin for release or assignment.

Camargo, 24, is 11-for-41 with two homers in 11 games for St. Paul.

Bowman, 32, has allowed one unearned run on three hits in five appearances (six innings) this season.
