Two Premier League Goalkeepers Had To Be Stretchered Off The Pitch
It's a dangerous day to be a goalkeeper in the English Premier League.
Above we have Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris getting gashed in the knee area by teammate Kyle Walker in the first minute of the game. After being attended to for a few minutes, Lloris was be stretchered off the pitch and replaced. So far there are no updates on his condition.
Meanwhile, down at the St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton keeper Fraser Forster also had to be stretchered off the pitch. His knee appeared to buckle as the cleared the ball, and Burnley forward Sam Vokes running over him couldn't have helped. On the BBC, commentator John Motson reported that Forster was heading to the hospital with suspected damage to his knee ligament. That's also bad news for England, as Forster was one of only two keepers (along with Joe Hart) named for upcoming friendlies against Lithuania and Italy.
