Vancouver Canucks Score On Themselves

Forward Loui Eriksson scored the first goal of the Canucks’ season against his own team Saturday. Eriksson felt pressure during a delayed penalty and passed it back into his own zone, but no one was there. Defenseman Erik Gudbranson legged it out to try and divert the puck, but he ended up crashing into the net after the goal was scored. Officially, Calgary’s Troy Brouwer scored. Congrats, Troy:
The Canucks overcame the Canucks to beat the Flames in a shootout, 2-1.
