Vici Gaming, GLYPH among group winners at Dota Games of the Future

Mandatory Credit: Rafael Suanes-Imagn Images Vici Gaming, GLYPH, Xtreme Gaming and Rune Eaters advanced to the playoff quarterfinals by winning their respective groups with sweeps at the Games of the Future event on Saturday in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The $1 million Dota 2 event features 16 teams divided into four groups for the opening double-elimination stage. All group-stage matches are best-of-three.
The second- and third-place sides from each group compete in the preliminary playoff round, and the fourth-place squads are eliminated.
The single-elimination playoffs will feature best-of-three matches until the grand final on Wednesday, which will be best-of-five. The winning team will earn $350,000.
In the Group A winners match on Saturday, Vici Gaming posted 50-minute and 31-minute wins on green and red, respectively, to defeat Yellow Submarine. Guo "shiro" Xuanang logged a 19-3-16 kill-death-assist ratio for all-Chinese Vici Gaming. For Yellow Submarine, Russia's Andrei "bottega" Kopytko posted a 9-7-8 K-D-A ratio.
In the Group A elimination match, Execration took down Amaru Gaming 2-1, sandwiching a 32-minute win on green and a 33-minute win on green around a 37-minute loss on red.
Rune Eaters swept PlayTime with wins on red of 44 minutes and 53 minutes in the Group B winners match. Aybek "TA2000" Tokayev of Kazakhstan led the way for Rune Eaters with a K-D-A ratio of 24/7/27. PlayTime's Maximo "Wits" Orozco Alza of Peru collected a K-D-A ratio of 22/12/14 in a losing effort.
In the Group B elimination match, Team Resilience rebounded from a 49-minute loss on red with consecutive wins on green (34 minutes) and red (31 minutes) to bounce Midas Club.
The Group C winners match pitted GLYPH against Zero Tenacity, with GLYPH earning the sweep with wins on green (52 minutes) and red (41). Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong of Laos sparked the victors with a K-D-A ratio of 24/6/18. For Zero Tenacity, Serbia's Mihajlo "MikSa" Jovanovic collected a 9/13/13 K-D-A ratio.
In the Group C elimination match, Yakult Brothers opened with a 39-minute victory on green over Enjoy, which pulled even on green in 45 minutes. However, Yakult Brothers secured the victory with a 44-minute win on red.
Xtreme Gaming made quick work of REKONIX in the Group D winners match, with back-to-back wins on green (33 minutes, 34 minutes) to advance to the quarterfinals. Cheng "NothingToSay" Jin Xiang of Malaysia posted an impressive performance for the winners, notching a K-D-A ratio of 24/1/33. On the other side, REKONIX's top player was Muhammad Rizky "inYourdreaM" Anugrah, who had a 15/12/8 K-D-A ratio.
In the Group D elimination match, LGD Gaming opened with a 54-minute triumph on red, fell to L1GA TEAM in 50 minutes on green, then rebounded with a 45-minute win on green to stay alive.
