Vikings QB Kirk Cousins on trade speculation: 'Not worth my time or energy'

That's partly due to Vikings' porous 1-4 start, and also because Cousins is one of the team's true bright spots.
But the 35-year-old Cousins insists he hears nothing and made it clear Wednesday that he has no interest in discussing any trade chatter.
"You know, I am just very focused on the Bears and going 1-0 this week," Cousins told reporters on Wednesday, while referencing Sunday's game at Chicago. "And anything else is not worth my time or energy or attention."
Cousins leads the NFL with 13 touchdown passes and ranks second with 1,498 passing yards. He has thrown four interceptions.
But his contract is set up in a way in which he can void it and become a free agent in March. Also, he owns a no-trade clause.
On Wednesday, Cousins refused to talk about it when asked if he would consider waiving the no-trade clause.
Cousins also expressed surprise that there is a high level of chatter about the situation.
"Ignorance is bliss," Cousins said, "and I'm just really ignorant. I don't really have access to a whole lot, and I try to do that by design. So it's pretty intentional.
"Aside from high school friends who may text me what they're reading ... I really don't know what's going on. I've been insulated at times to the point of being naïve and a little stupid, but I'd rather err on that side than consuming everything. ... It takes your focus off what is important and what will help you play well."
The 12-year veteran might be an intriguing option for a team needing an in-season upgrade at quarterback. Cousins, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, has passed for 38,638 yards, 265 touchdowns and 109 interceptions in 147 career games (142 starts).
Minnesota will also be without Cousins' top target, Justin Jefferson, for at least four games. He sustained a hamstring injury in last Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday.
