Virginia Tech Wins Frank Beamer's Final Regular Season Game, Securing 23rd Straight Bowl

Virginia Tech came back and put up 17 points in the fourth quarter today to defeat Virginia and earn bowl eligibility for the 23rd straight year. Frank Beamer will now get one more game before Justin Fuente takes over as coach of the Hokies next year.

This has been an up-and-down year for the Hokies. They beat Georgia Tech by two, but then lost to North Carolina by a field goal in overtime. Leaving it until late to finally overtake UVA is fitting for how they’ve operated all year.
