We Are All Dave McKenna CVIII
Here's your daily link to Dave McKenna's brilliant "Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which we'll be posting until Snyder's dumbass libel suit self-immolates in shame.
In 2001, Dan Snyder earned the title "sports jerk of the year" in the "Tank McNamara" cartoon strip. The award was well-deserved and might be the only one Dan Snyder will ever win. Here's a Tank McNamara comic from this past February in which Dan Snyder, now sensitive to being ranked among the NFL's worst owners for a decade, accidentally cuts out the internet to DC in an attempt to silence people who think he's the worst owner in the NFL:
As , the cartoon was drawn weeks before Snyder sued the Washington City Paper in an action that Snyderflack Tony Wyllie described as a warning shot to the media:
"I have plants everywhere," "Tank McNamara" co-creator Jeff Millar jokes to Comic Riffs, "but really, this is just a happy coincidence."
In a Mubarakian twist, Saturday's satiric comic depicts Snyder trying to knock out Internet access to the good people of D.C. — all the better to try to stifle criticism of him and the 'Skins.
Actually, we should make a distinction here. The comic only shows a "Snyder Industries" excavator. We can't see if Dan Snyder is in the cockpit. We don't know if Dan Snyder told his employees to commit this illegal act. They might have "slammed" DC's internet without Dan Snyder's knowledge, in which case Dan Snyder would bear zero responsibility for the people working under Dan Snyder while Dan Snyder makes heaps of money off their efforts.
Please stop Dan Snyder from destroying Google and give a donation to the City Paper's legal defense fund.
