credits: [object Object] Boston sports radio host Kirk Minihane tweeted today that he checked into the emergency room at Winchester Hospital in Massachusetts last Thursday with suicidal thoughts. He said he was transferred to McLean, a hospital that specializes in providing mental health care, and was released earlier this week. Minihane said he will be on the radio tomorrow to “talk about it” and that he was feeling nervous but not ashamed.
Minihane has received coverage at Deadspin before for the way he and his co-hosts at WEEI frequently attack and mock people of color, women, and other groups.
