Who's Sorry Now? Goofed Up National Anthem Edition
If you've never had your penis regaled in song, well, you don't know just how inspiring that can be. British singer Tony Henry was belting out the Croatian National Anthem before the recent European Championship 2008 soccer match with England, but botched the lyrics, with hilarious results.
He should have sung 'Mila kuda si planina' (which roughly means 'You know my dear how we love your mountains'). But he instead sang 'Mila kura si planina' which can be interpreted as 'My dear, my penis is a mountain'.
The Croatian team, of course, then looked at each other and said: "Hey, our penises are mountains!" And they then charged out and defeated England — which has no penis lyrics in its national anthem — 3-2. But Henry was still mortified. "It was the last thing that I would intentionally do," he said, "and all I can say is if I have offended any Croatians, then they have my deepest apologies." Meanwhile, I have canceled my plans to go Croatian Christmas caroling.
Elsewhere in bitter regret:
• Sorry for scheduling "Set Fire To The Stadium And Beat Up The Cops Night" — Red Star Belgrade
• Sorry Knicks fans, but your Christmas gift this year is three more months of suck. — The Dolans
• Sorry I wasn't two inches wider. — Right upright
• Sorry we haven't been funny since 1965. — Alvin and the Chipmunks
