Wisconsin starter Billy Edwards Jr. leaves game vs. Miami (Ohio) with injury

Wisconsin starting quarterback Billy Edwards Jr., making his debut Thursday night after transferring from Maryland, left midway through the second quarter of the nonconference opener against Miami (Ohio) with a lower-body injury and will not return.
Edwards, who passed for 2,881 yards and 15 touchdowns last season as the starter at Maryland, completed 6 of 13 passes for 68 yards before the injury.
Sophomore Danny O'Neil, a transfer from San Diego State, replaced Edwards.
