Women’s Top 25 roundup: Hidalgo, Miles power No. 3 Notre Dame

Hannah Hidalgo poured in 33 points in 33 minutes, Olivia Miles recorded her second triple-double of the season and No. 3 Notre Dame crushed visiting Loyola (MD) 97-54 on Sunday in South Bend, Ind.

Miles racked up 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists after a 20-10-10 effort on the opening night of the season. It was the fifth career triple-double for the standout guard, and she added 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range to help the Fighting Irish (10-2) shoot 54.1 percent from the field and 50 percent (10 of 20) from 3-point range.

Hidalgo also made four 3-pointers with five steals. Liatu King put up 18 points and 10 rebounds and Liza Karlen scored 15 points for Notre Dame, which ran out to a 26-9 lead after one quarter and led by 35 after three.

Laura Salmeron scored 23 points and Amandine Amorich had 13 for the Greyhounds (5-5).

No. 6 Texas 103, South Dakota State 57

Taylor Jones put up 15 points and 11 rebounds and Justice Carlton came off the bench for a game-high 19 points plus nine rebounds as the host Longhorns cruised past the Jackrabbits in Austin, Texas.

Five Longhorns players scored in double figures, with Jordan Lee (14), Rori Harmon (13) and Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda (10) getting in on the fun. Texas (12-1) also outrebounded South Dakota State 45-26.

Brooklyn Meyer paced South Dakota State (10-3) with 13 points and Emilee Fox chipped in 11.

No. 10 Oklahoma 111, Omaha 65

Raegan Beers scored a season-high 28 points with nine rebounds as the host Sooners dominated the Mavericks in Norman, Okla.

Oklahoma (11-1) also got 12 points, eight rebounds and eight assists from Skylar Vann. Kiersten Johnson scored 12 and Zya Vann had 10, both coming off the bench, as the Sooners won the battle on the boards 57-33. Oklahoma has one more tune-up vs. New Mexico State before opening Southeastern Conference play at home Jan. 2 against rival Texas.

Ja Harvey scored 21 points to lead Omaha (8-5), which had a seven-game winning streak stopped. Cora Olsen had 15 and Alana Powell added 10.

No. 13 Kansas State 76, Cincinnati 59

Temira Poindexter scored 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting and three other starters scored in double figures as the host Wildcats pulled away from the Bearcats in Manhattan, Kan.

Serena Sundell paired 11 points with 11 assists, Jaelyn Glenn also had 11 points and Ayoka Lee had 10. Kansas State (13-1, 1-0 Big 12) parlayed a 12-point halftime lead into a 55-25 margin in the third quarter, as Cincinnati didn't make a field goal for the first eight minutes of that frame.

Chloe Mann finished with 13 points but shot just 3-for-12 for Cincinnati (8-3, 0-1). A'riel Jackson scored 11 points.
