Yarden Garzon scored a season-high 25 points to lead No. 7 Maryland to a 98-30 rout of Central Connecticut State on Friday afternoon in College Park, Md.

Oluchi Okananwa added 22 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the unbeaten Terrapins (13-0), who held the winless Blue Devils (0-11) to fewer than 10 points in each of the last three quarters.

After building a 39-14 lead in the first quarter, Maryland outscored CCSU 18-2 in the second, 20-9 in the third and 21-5 in the fourth to reach the 90-point mark for the fifth consecutive game.

Addi Mack added 15 points and Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Terrapins, who are off until Big Ten play resumes on Dec. 29 against visiting Wisconsin.

Lucia Noin scored 12 points to lead the Blue Devils, who shot just 19.0% from the field (12 of 63) and committed 26 turnovers.


No. 12 Kentucky 96, Wright State 53

Clara Strack scored 26 points and blocked four shots as the Wildcats blasted the Raiders in Lexington, Ky.

Tonie Morgan and Kaelyn Carroll each put up 18 points for Kentucky (12-1), which earned its fifth win in a row. Asia Boone chipped in with 17 points. The Wildcats hit 15 of 39 3-point attempts (38.5%) while holding Wright State to 5-of-15 shooting (33.3%) from long range.

Abbie Riddle and Claire Henson scored 10 points apiece for the Raiders (5-9), and Henson grabbed eight rebounds. Wright State, which trailed 57-24 at halftime, shot just 33.3% from the floor.
