Unseeded Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan shocked World No. 1 Iga Swiatek of Poland 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 at Wimbledon on Saturday.

Swiatek had won 20 consecutive matches -- including titles in Madrid, Rome and Paris -- and 44 matches in 2024 to lead all WTA players.

Putinseva had lost all four previous matches against Swiatek, who swept each match.
