Irina-Camelia Begu found playing at home to be delightful as the seventh-seeded Romanian recorded a 6-0, 7-5 victory over Switzerland's Jil Teichmann to win her sixth career title.
Begu had four aces and converted 5 of 8 break points while winning her first WTA crown since Palermo in 2022. No. 6 seed Teichmann was in her first final since losing in the 1000-level Cincinnati event in 2021.
Begu won 13 of 19 service points in the first set while serving up a bagel to Teichmann. The second set was more competitive and Teichmann led 5-4 before Begu won three straight games to end the match.
