Yankees-Guardians game ppd.; DH set for Saturday
Friday's game between the Guardians and New York Yankees was postponed due to inclement weather in the Cleveland area.
The game was scheduled to be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday. The teams will play the opener at 12:10 p.m. ET and start the nightcap at 6:10 p.m. ET
Friday's postponement was the second in the last six days for the Guardians, who saw their scheduled series finale against the host Minnesota Twins washed away on Sunday.
It was not immediately known if Friday's scheduled starting pitchers would return to the mound in either game on Saturday. New York's Clarke Schmidt (0-0, 4.66 ERA) was slated to face off against Cleveland's Carlos Carrasco (0-0, 4.50) on Friday in a battle of right-handers.
