Yankees LHP Ryan Weathers (forearm) exits start early

New York Yankees left-hander Ryan Weathers was lifted in the fourth inning Saturday against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays due to left forearm discomfort.

Weathers will undergo imaging, the Yankees announced during the game.

With one out and two runners on in the fourth, Weathers threw a sweeper to Myles Straw and then called for catcher Austin Wells. New York manager Aaron Boone and a trainer checked on Weathers, who came out of the game. Yerry De los Santos took over on the mound.

Weathers, 26, allowed two runs on eight hits in 3 1/3 innings with three strikeouts and no walks prior to his exit. For the season, he is 5-7 with a 3.60 ERA in 25 starts.

Acquired from the Miami Marlins in January, Weathers is 17-30 with a 4.50 ERA in 95 games (80 starts) in six seasons with the San Diego Padres (2021-23), Marlins (2023-25) and Yankees (2026).
