Young MMA "Beast" Stops Old MMA "Beast" From Winning 100th Match
Here, Dan "The Beast" Severn tries to match Bernard Hopkins's old-guy-can-do spirit. Here, in an attempt to earn his 100th victory at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., the 52-year-old Severn fails to do so.
"I remember seeing (Severn) fight when I was a kid," said Michael Lowe, 36, of Framingham, who was in attendance with his two boys (ages 11 and 9). "I used to watch this with my dad when I was growing up. Now I watch it with my kids. It's different than it was, but it's still a great night. We are enjoying ourselves."
The action starts at 4:50 of the video. And the action doesn't last too long. "The Beast" Lee Beane wins by first-round KO at 8:16 of the video. He's 0-2 in 100th win attempts. Poor beast.
