he wanted to "keep our foot on the pedal"

Let's see: -16 yards on the previous 3 plays. Check the gas tank.

The coach was confused because the down markers said "2^2"

After winning the game, the Harvard team insisted upon reminding everyone within earshot that they did, in fact, win the game. Did they mention that?

"The only regret I have is that if there is a man who wears a ‘Y’ on his helmet who thinks their opportunity to win the football game was taken from them. That is the only regret I have."

Well, that and if there was a man who was planning on wearing a V on his face last night, who thinks the opportunity to wear the V was taken from him. Although, most of these nerdy shits have no clue what I'm talking about.

This was actually a part of the most elaborate Yale-Harvard prank yet; while the defense was scrambling to tackle the runner and everyone was cheering, a Yalie sniper in the media tower took out three of the Harvard medical staff and ran away before anyone noticed.

The Bulldogs ran a fake punt that gained 15 yards on an end around run. The only hitch in the plan was that they needed 22.

What the referees must not have realized is that, being from Yale, the players were entitled to a first down notwithstanding their inability to complete the task.

Also last week, during his team's annual flag-football showdown against the Prometheus Society, Mensa International quarterback Paul "Smarty Pants" Poindexter threw a series of 100-yard pick-sixes for no other reason than to impress Minnie Driver, who likes apples.

Of course, I'm talking about William Taft. That guy was a fucking idiot.
