Floyd Mayweather Jr. Bet $1 Million Against Tim Tebow
Two weeks ago, the New England Patriots walked all over the Denver Broncos in a 41-23 win. More importantly, Mayweather got rich—well, richer. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Mayweather had $1 million on the Patriots. The director of the Cantor Gaming sports book at the M Resort, Mike Colbert, refused to confirm or deny the report, but did offer up this tidbit:
"[Floyd Mayweather Jr.] is a valued customer who frequents the books quite often."
No word on what type of bet Mayweather placed (spread, money line, etc.), or whether he even laid down the money himself. There are rumors that his entourage, aptly named the "Money Team," places bets for him. But we already know of his massive gambling addiction and occasional winnings from Twitter, so this seems like a natural escalation. Unfortunately, he won't have much time to spend the earnings since he'll start serving a 90-day sentence on domestic battery charges next Friday. At the very least, hopefully he Tebowed after cashing in.
