Home-field advantage hasn’t meant much in the ALCS, as the road team has gone 2-1 each through the first six games. Toronto finally broke through last night, as tonight’s pitching matchup is a repeat of Game 3 in Seattle last Wednesday.
George Kirby heads to the mound for the M’s, who were staked to an early 2-0 lead thanks to a two-run home run from CF Julio Rodriguez. The Jays exploded for five runs in the third inning and never looked back in a 13-4 rout.
Shane Bieber struck out eight batters in six innings of work for Toronto, as the Blue Jays won in the road underdog role.
Bieber is flipped to a favorite here against Kirby, who got the start in the decisive Game 5 against Detroit in the ALDS 15-inning triumph.
The key for Seattle is if Kirby can pitch at least five innings, as no Mariners’ starter has pitched past the fourth inning in the last five games.
It will be an electric atmosphere in Toronto tonight, but let’s go with the underdog Mariners to capture their first-ever American League pennant.

George Kirby Over 11.5 Outs (-132 at DraftKings)
Kirby got racked in Game 3 at home against the Blue Jays, allowing eight runs and still made it through four innings of work.
The Seattle right-hander will be expected to toss at least four innings here, as right-hander Luis Castillo should be available out of the bullpen for long relief tonight.
In 24 of 26 starts this season, Kirby has recorded at least 12 outs, while throwing 66 and 74 pitches in his two playoff outings.
Kirby went through one disastrous inning in Game 3 against Toronto, as he allowed two runs before getting two outs. A wild pitch brought in the third run, then the Jays busted it open with a two-run double for a 5-2 lead.
The right-hander should be able to rebound tonight and will make it through four innings as long as he avoids the big Toronto outburst.
