Aces All-Star A’ja Wilson (ankle) will not play vs. Fever
Jun 28, 2026; Chicago, Illinois, USA; Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson (22) grimaces after falling during the second half against the Chicago Sky at United Center. Mandatory Credit: Matt Marton-Imagn Images Four-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson was declared out for the Las Vegas Aces' game against the visiting Indiana Fever on Sunday due to a right ankle injury.
The Aces center missed her third consecutive game. The nationally televised matchup is without Wilson and fellow All-Star Caitlin Clark, who is on the Fever bench for the second straight game, recovering from a back injury.
Wilson suffered the injury one week ago in a 107-99 win over the Chicago Sky. She wore a boot on her right foot during a rematch of those same two teams on Friday.
"She's tough," Aces coach Becky Hammon said Friday regarding Wilson. "I want to protect her as much as possible. She really wants to play, and we're not going to rush."
Wilson entered Sunday leading the WNBA in scoring with 25.7 points per game.
