So, this blockbuster announcement means Favre's definitely coming back, and he's just such a dick that he's made up his mind but neglected to tell the Vikings, who would actually benefit from being able to plan around him.

Either that, or the Favres are insanely rich, and dropping down $1000 or whatever on a gym won't put them out on the streets if Brett retires and the membership goes unused.
