An eight-time All-Star, he has batted .307 with an .834 OPS for his career, with 209 home runs, 400 doubles, 747 RBIs, 1,062 runs and 293 stolen bases across 1,668 games. He ranks first in Astros history in career batting average and third in hits (2,047), doubles, runs and steals.
Known for big playoff contributions, Altuve ranks second in MLB history in postseason home runs (27) and runs (89) and is tied for third in playoff hits (117).
The native of Venezuela is coming off a 2023 season that saw him bat .311 with 17 homers, 21 doubles, 51 RBIs and 76 runs in 90 games.
