Bengals DE Shemar Stewart injures leg, carted from field
Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Shemar Stewart (97) sits between drives in the first quarter of the NFL Week 7 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025. Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Shemar Stewart was carted from the field Wednesday after an apparent serious left leg injury during 11-on-11 drills.
Stewart's left leg appeared to buckle and hyperextend before he went down on the field. He initially was unable to put any weight on his leg before hobbling off the field. A cart was summoned to get him back to the locker room.
Per ESPN, Stewart was spotted on crutches with a protective brace on his left leg after practice.
Stewart, 22, recorded one sack and two tackles for loss in eight games (five starts) last season after being selected by the Bengals with the 17th overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M.
