BetBoom Team rallied past Gaimin Gladiators on Saturday in the upper-bracket final at the FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 event.

In Sunday's best-of-five grand final, BetBoom will face the winner of Sunday's lower-bracket final between Gaimin Gladiators and Team Tidebound.

Team Tidebound reached the lower-bracket final by sweeping Tundra Esports in the lower-bracket quarterfinals, then sweeping Team Falcons in the lower-bracket semifinals, both on Saturday. Team Falcons had reached the semifinals with a quarterfinal win over Team Spirit on Saturday.

The $500,000 Dota 2 tournament began with a group stage that used a modified Swiss system for 16 teams. All matches were best-of-three. The top eight teams advanced to the playoffs, and the remaining teams were eliminated.

The playoffs, which run through Sunday, feature a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three until the grand final, which is best-of-five. The winning team will earn $250,000.

On Saturday, BetBoom fell behind Gaimin Gladiators, who prevailed in 35 minutes on green, but rebounded with a pair of victories on red (40 minutes and 30 minutes) to secure the win. Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko of Russia produced an average 11/3/7 kill-death-assist ratio for BetBoom.

In the lower-bracket quarterfinals, Team Spirit opened with a 43-minute win on green, but Team Falcons took the next two on red (42 minutes and 52 minutes) to advance. Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak of Russia excelled for Team Falcons with a K-D-A ratio of 10/4/10.3.

Team Tidebound rolled over Tundra Esports in the other lower-bracket quarterfinal, winning in 54 minutes on green and 46 minutes on red.

China's Zhang "Faith_bian" Ruida paced Team Tidebound at 7.5/3/24.

In the lower-bracket semifinal, Team Tidebound posted another sweep, taking out Team Falcons with 70-minute and 47-minute victories on green. China's Guo "shiro" Xuanang led the way for Team Tidebound at 14.5/2.5/7.5.
