The Reds got a solo home run, RBI double and single from red-hot catcher Austin Wynns. In his past two games, Wynns -- who bats ninth -- is 9-for-11 with eight RBIs.
Miami, which had its three-game win streak snapped, was led by Matt Mervis, who slugged a two-run homer for his team-leading seventh of the season.
Singer (4-0) allowed four hits, zero walks and two runs in six innings. He struck out eight.
Emilio Pagan pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his fifth save. Blake Dunn helped out with two stellar catches in right field in the ninth.
Alcantara (2-2) also posted a quality start -- five hits, two walks and three runs in six innings while striking out four.
Cincinnati opened the scoring in the first as TJ Friedl doubled and came home on Gavin Lux's single to right. That extended Lux's hitting streak to nine games.
Miami took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first as Eric Wagaman doubled and scored on Mervis' homer.
Wynns' homer tied the score 2-2 in the third.
Cincinnati took a 3-2 lead in the fifth as Jake Fraley walked, stole second and scored on Spencer Steer's single.
In the eighth, Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz scored without the benefit of another hit. He singled, stole second, advanced on a groundout and scored on Jeimer Candelario's fielder's choice. Marlins second baseman Otto Lopez opted to throw home, but De La Cruz beat the play with a dive, making it 4-2.
In the ninth, the Reds extended their lead to 5-2 as Steer walked and scored on Wynns' double.
Steer finished 2-for-3, giving the Reds a 5-for-7 day from the bottom two batters in the order.
