Kim, 30, was injured when he slipped and fell on ice in his native South Korea, MLB.com reported.
Kim batted .234 with five home runs and 17 RBIs in 48 total games for the Braves and Tampa Bay Rays last season. Atlanta claimed Kim off waivers in September and signed him to a one-year deal in December.
Over five major league seasons, Kim is a career .242 hitter with 52 home runs and 217 RBIs in 588 games for the San Diego Padres (2021-24), Rays and Braves.
