Bart was traded for the second time in six weeks, with Chicago sending right-hander Duncan Davitt to Atlanta in return.
The Braves later announced they acquired right-hander Tyler Uberstine from Boston for White. Atlanta optioned both Uberstine and Davitt to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Atlanta acquired Bart from the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 18 in exchange for right-hander Hunter Stratton.
Bart, 29, played in 21 games for the Pirates and 20 with the Braves this season. On the whole, he batted .226 and hit four home runs and 13 RBIs across those 41 appearances.
In seven MLB seasons with the San Francisco Giants (2020-23), Pirates (2024-26) and Braves, Bart is a .238 hitter with 32 home runs and 126 RBIs in 376 games.
The White Sox optioned Davitt to Triple-A Charlotte after his second career appearance Sunday. Davitt, 26, made his major league debut on April 10 and has pitched two innings of relief with one run allowed. At Triple-A, he is 4-3 with a 6.22 ERA, 64 strikeouts and 25 walks over 21 games (10 starts).
White, 32, is hitting .233 with five home runs and 17 RBIs in 69 games this season while playing all three outfield positions. He has a .212 batting average with 25 homers and 84 RBIs in 345 career games with the Texas Rangers (2020-22) and Braves (2023-26)
Uberstine made his major league debut with the Red Sox this season, allowing one run in 2 2/3 innings in his only appearance. The 27-year-old was a 19th round pick in the 2021 draft and had a 2.81 ERA in 15 appearances (two starts) with Triple-A Worcester.
