Mandatory Credit: Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images The Milwaukee Brewers placed Jackson Chourio on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left hand Thursday and recalled fellow outfielder Blake Perkins from Triple-A Nashville.
Chourio sustained the injury when he was hit by a pitch in an exhibition game while playing for Venezuela against the Washington Nationals on March 4. An MRI revealed a small hairline fracture at the base of the third metacarpal and he is expected to miss between two and four weeks.
Chourio, 22, finished third in the National Rookie of the Year voting in 2024 before batting .270 with 21 homers, 78 RBIs and 21 stolen bases in 131 games last season.
Perkins, 29, batted .226 with three homers and 19 RBIs in 54 games last season with the Brewers.
