Mandatory Credit: Michael McLoone-Imagn Images Milwaukee Brewers relief pitchers DL Hall and Grant Anderson both exited Thursday's 12-9 home loss to the San Francisco Giants with injuries.
In the fifth inning, Hall hopped after releasing his 27th pitch of the day, and after meeting with Brewers manager Pat Murphy and the Milwaukee training staff, the left-hander exited the game. The team said Hall sustained a left subscapular or pectoral injury and will stay in Milwaukee to get an MRI scan while the team travels to Colorado to face the Rockies on Friday.
Later, Bryce Eldridge's line drive struck right-hander Anderson on the right forearm, and the Milwaukee reliever was also removed from the game. Initial X-rays were negative, the team said, though baseball seam marks were left on his arm. Anderson will travel with the team to Denver and plans on trying to play catch on Friday.
Hall held the Giants to one hit and no runs in 2 1/3 innings of work after they scored six against starter Coleman Crow. Anderson yielded two runs on three hits in 1 1/3 innings.
