Mandatory Credit: Mike Dinovo-USA TODAY Sports The Denver Broncos placed offensive tackle Quinn Bailey on injured reserve on Thursday after he dislocated his ankle and fractured his fibula at practice on Wednesday, coach Sean Payton said.
In a corresponding move, the Broncos signed rookie offensive lineman Oliver Jervis.
Bailey had left practice in an ambulance with an air cast on his right leg, which observers said got rolled up on. He is scheduled for surgery next week, the team said.
The 28-year-old joined the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and appeared in all 17 games last season. The 6-foot-6, 323-pound lineman has appeared in 31 games, with one start in each of the past two campaigns.
Jervis, 24, is an undrafted rookie who competed at the team's rookie minicamp in May. The 6-foot-5, 305-pound player played at Colorado State in 2023 after five years at Monmouth (2018-22). He appeared in a total of 47 games (36 starts) at tackle and guard.
