Frank, 28, has 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) and a plus-7 rating in 52 games this season.
The Nebraska native has recorded 30 points (15 goals, 15 assists) in 76 career games with the Capitals. He also has helped Hershey of the American Hockey League to a pair of Calder Cup championships.
