Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed Friday that the five-time 1,000-yard receiver will not suit up for the Commanders (3-3) against the NFC East rival Cowboys (2-3-1) in Arlington, Texas.
McLaurin, who sustained the injury in a Week 3 win against the Las Vegas Raiders, was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday but did not participate on Thursday.
McLaurin, 30, missed training camp in a contract holdout and has 10 receptions for 149 yards and no touchdowns in three starts this season.
The two-time Pro Bowl honoree has 470 catches for 6,528 yards and 38 TDs in 100 games (all starts) since Washington drafted him in the third round in 2019.
Fellow wide receiver Deebo Samuel (heel) also did not practice on Thursday. He leads the team in receptions (34), targets (43) and receiving yards (315) and has three touchdowns in six starts.
