Mandatory Credit: Katie Stratman-Imagn Images Pavel Bucha scored an early goal for FC Cincinnati, which played to a 1-1 draw against visiting Tigres UANL on Tuesday in the opening leg of a CONCACAF Champions Cup round of 16 series.
After Bucha put the hosts ahead in the third minute, Nicolas Ibanez tallied for Tigres in the 17th minute.
The two-game, total-goal series will conclude March 11 at San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico.
FC Cincinnati stole the ball deep in Tigres' end to set up the early goal. After some slick passing at the top of Tigres' 18-yard box, Bucha fired a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner of the net.
Tigres pulled level when Ibanez headed in a cross from Sebastian Cordova, who ran down a pass near the end line on the left side and lofted the ball to the far post.
