(Patterson’s socks weren’t visible in the actual game, so the most likely explanation is that he’s just really fast.)
Patterson’s return was actually the Vikings’ second play of 100 yards or more today. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes ran a pick back 100 yards in the second quarter:
