Creighton romps Utah Tech for third straight blowout win

Josh Dix had a stellar all-around game with 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and a career-high five steals for the Bluejays (8-5), who won their third straight contest.
Isaac Traudt added 13 points and Jasen Green had 10 for Creighton.
Ethan Potter recorded 18 points and eight rebounds for Utah Tech (7-7). Jusaun Holt added 16 points and three steals for the Trailblazers, who saw a two-game winning streak halted.
The Bluejays shot 54% from the field, including 13 of 33 from 3-point range. Dix and Traudt each made three treys.
Creighton had a 28-8 edge in points off turnovers and also held a 34-28 rebounding advantage.
Utah Tech connected on 50% of its attempts and was 6 of 18 from behind the arc.
The Trailblazers were within 13 with 11 minutes left before Nik Graves scored on a layup and Blake Harper scored five straight points as Creighton took a 76-56 lead with 8:24 left in the game.
Utah Tech again pulled within 13 on Noah Bolanga's turnaround jumper with 7:07 left before the Bluejays scored the next six points. Harper made a jumper and scored on a dunk to make it 82-63 with 6:05 remaining.
Swartz's layup made it 86-65 with 4:32 to go and Creighton closed out. The Bluejays have won their past three games by a total of 85 points.
Swartz scored 12 first-half points as the Bluejays led 43-34 at the break. Holt scored 12 in the half for Utah Tech.
Creighton jumped out to a 17-5 lead before the Trailblazers scored the next eight points.
Utah Tech later trailed by two on a layup by Dario Domingos with 7:44 left before the Bluejays went on an 11-3 run. Owen Freeman's three-point play capped it and gave Creighton a 37-27 advantage with 4:05 remaining in the half.
The Bluejays led by 12 before Holt buried a 3-pointer in the final seconds for the Trailblazers.
