The 34-year-old Johnson is all in when it comes to playing in his 13th NFL season in 2025.
"I'm definitely not retiring after this game, win or lose," Johnson said of the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9. "I'm definitely playing next year. That's really how you take it, I guess, when you get up in age, is take it one year at a time.
"But physically, I feel a lot better than I have the past, probably, couple years. I feel really good. For being this late in the year, it's usually not like that. I'm thankful. We've got a good team here to help us with all that."
Johnson was named a second-team All-Pro and chosen for his sixth Pro Bowl this season after being part of a standout line that helped running back Saquon Barkley top 2,000 rushing yards.
Johnson has twice been selected first-team All-Pro and this was his third second-team honor. Also, he will be a Pro Football Hall of Fame candidate five years after he retires.
In the short term, Johnson is all about delivering some payback to the Chiefs. Philadelphia lost 38-35 to Kansas City in Super Bowl LVII two seasons ago.
"We didn't finish what we started a couple years ago," Johnson said. "We have a big chance to go play well and do something special. That's on our mind, but, really for me, I don't try to get caught up in the emotions of it. I just see it as something in the way and we've got to find a way to get it out of our way."
Johnson does own one Super Bowl ring, that coming when the Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII to end the 2017 season.
