Terrence Cody Indicted On Animal Cruelty Charges
With the NFL season over, the Ravens officially released Terrence Cody today after announcing the move on Jan. 23. The Baltimore County Police also announced that a local grand jury had indicted Cody on charges of animal cruelty.
Cody was not only charged with cruelty to a dog, but illegal possession of an alligator (and alleged abuse to that alligator). The charges also included weed possession. Jamison Hensley of ESPN has all 15 counts on Cody:
Two counts of aggravated animal cruelty involving a dog described as a Presa Canario Mastiff. Those are both felonies and carry a maximum incarceration of three years.
Five counts of animal abuse or neglect involving the same dog.
One count of illegal possession of an alligator.
Five counts of animal abuse or neglect involving the alligator.
One count of possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
One count of possession of marijuana.
